Georgia on my mind!

What a great weekend!!

Wednesday night Jamiee and I went to her parent’s house and curled up in a (not so big) RV! At about 3am Thursday morning we rolled through and picked up my brother and sister in-law and hit the road! It was a long LONG 13-hour ride to Ludowici, GA! Once we finally got there, we said our long over due hellos and grilled some burgers for dinner! Meaghan and Trevor, Jamiee’s oldest niece and her now husband, had to drive in from Jacksonville, FL so they got there about 8 Thursday night. We had such a blast laughing and talking all night!

Friday morning when we got up, Jacque, Jamiee, Kayla, and Jamiee’s parents all went to Wal-Mart and the grocery store to grab some things for the weekend festivities! Jacque’s husband, Mike, is retired military so we went to the store on base! It was my first time ever being on a military base so they drove me around and showed me where they lived when they did live on base! It was really neat!

They have an area of trees planted for the fallen soldiers from that base; it was really upsetting seeing how many trees there actually were!

When we got back to the house we got to hang out and relax for a little while, I made Michael a slideshow for graduation. It was so much fun to make because I was able to go through old pictures and since I wasn’t around while they grew up, I felt like I was there! HAHA They really enjoyed watching it and I just loved being a part of it! Friday night Michael graduated from Long County High School!! He looked so handsome in his cap and gown and we were all so proud of him! He is a BADASS guitar player with incredible dreams of making it big, which I have no doubt in my mind he will conquer those dreams! I can’t wait to be in the front row screaming, “THAT’S MY NEPHEW!!!” We are definitely proud of that young man.
We had a graduation party for Michael on Saturday; it was such a fantastic party! We set up a volleyball net and Michael brought out his guitar! We all just sat around and relax, had a few drinks (and by few I mean we went through a few coolers full of drinks). It was just a great time getting to relax and catch up with the family!

Jacque and Mike have some friends named Cory and Mary; they’re the definition of a badass!!! We love them! They have the most precious one year old named Serenity. Mary made some Apple Pie Moonshine Saturday afternoon for the wedding on Sunday, 3 gallons of it! It was delicious, although I was only able to have a few sips, just to say I’ve tried it!

We had a pretty relaxing morning Sunday, or at least as relaxing as you can have before setting up for a wedding! Jacque, Jamiee’s mom, and my other sister in-law went about noon and met up with Meaghan and Kayla at the hotel to help them get ready. Michael, Jamiee, and I went to Trevor’s parents house to finish setting up. We had gone over the day before to get as much done as possible so all we would have to do was set out the flower arrangements the day of! Her theme was kind of country/rustic and she did SUNFLOWERS!! It was absolutely beautiful! The weather got a little cloudy and thundered for a few minutes but all in all it turned out perfect! Meaghan looked breathtaking and Trevor looked so handsome! They make a wonderful couple and I’m so glad I can say I was there and got to help out for the wedding.

I made a slideshow for Meaghan and Trevor as a little wedding present and we played it during the reception! It was so fun to make and watch. Everyone really loved it!

We loaded up the RV Monday morning and headed home, it was definitely hard saying goodbye to the Frey family! Michael actually came back with us and is going to be staying for a month or so! We are incredibly excited about that!!! :)

When I got to work Tuesday, the air conditioning was out and it is now Thursday and we are FINALLY getting it fixed!! Needless to say….I am melting!

Overall we had a FANTASTIC little Memorial Day vacation and got to some long overdue family time!

I can't wait for the next few weeks, we are going to the Sevendust concert in Tunica, and we will be doing a lot of fun things with Michael being in town!! It's going to make for some awesome blogs! Stay tuned!<3

Fusion, movie night, and headed to GA!!

Wow!! I can’t believe I have gone an entire month without a blog post! If there are any of you out there that still read this…THANK YOU AND I’M SORRY! :D My little sister Addie text me yesterday and asked me to write a post this week because it had been a month! I really don’t even know where to start…

Well Jamiee and I are still going to the gym! CLAP CLAP and I am down 6lbs (not anywhere near where I want to be and its been a little discouraging lately) but we are sticking with it! I know that I need to completely step up my cardio game to get where I want/need to be but recently my shins have been killing me when I run. I have come to the conclusion I have shin splints, which sucks when all you want to do is run! I do try and push through them as much as I can but it seems everyday I can push a little less. :’( Although I have been going at least once (sometimes twice) a week to Fusion!! It is so much fun and seriously the best cardio I have ever had!Check them out here :) I can’t seem to get Jamiee to go with me because she doesn’t like to dance but my sister, Taylor, and her friends go with me and so does Nichole, who introduced me to this gift!

Last weekend we went to the flea market with my family, I got the cutest tank top, some new plugs, and a new nose ring!!

We also had a fun movie night last week; we busted out the air mattress and watched a few movies! One of which was 21 Jump Street!! Not really sure why it took us soooo long to watch it because it was AMAZING!! I can’t wait for the second movie to come out next month!

We are getting ready to go out of town to see Jamiee’s nephew graduate and then her niece is getting married!! It’s going to be a great weekend filled with fun, family, and FOOD! (I’m sure it will be great for our diet!) But that is okay because it will be totally worth it! I haven’t met Jamiee’s (now mine :D) brother in-law yet so I am incredibly excited about that and of course I am stoked to see my sister in-law and nieces and nephew! We are taking a RV down there, I believe it’s a 13 hour drive….so that should be fun!

Next weeks blog should be really good, and yes I promise I’ll actually post one!

Once again sorry it’s been a while and sorry this post is a little short.  I hope everyone has a fun safe Memorial Day weekend! <3

Love, Zombies, Snow, and MY FIRST POST!!

Hello everyone, this is my first post on my first blog!! I am so excited to start this new adventure and gain, not only new readers, but also friends along the way! Each week I’ll be posting about my wife, Jamiee, and I’s weekly adventures; big and small! So without further a do lets jump right in!

Saturday Jamiee and I attended the wedding reception of some friends of ours, The Warrens! It was a beautiful reception; there was food, drinks, and lots of dancing!! I had to work that day so we got there a little late and missed them cutting the cake and making a toast!! Their colors were red, silver, and black! Nichole looked gorgeous, and they make a beautiful couple. CONGRATULATIONS again to you two, we wish you nothing but the best!

After we left the party Saturday, Jamiee and I went to our friend John’s house to play some Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies with him and his boyfriend Josh (we play just about every night!!) but we couldn’t figure out how to get all four of us to play at once so we had to take turns! It turned into a late night so we ended up spending the night there!

Sunday we all went to MY favorite sushi restaurant Ryu Sushi Bar! I got the Deep Fried Crunchy Roll, oh my goodness it’s delicious! Jamiee isn’t a fan of Asian food, but she has started eating there with me because she knows how much I love it! After lunch we came back to our house and set up our two TVs and got all four of us in one room while playing Zombies!! (Success) We had such a blast! Josh is fairly new at playing and he’s really good!! We all made a really great team.

Sunday night we went to my parent’s house for dinner! My sister, Taylor, is home from UT Martin so the whole family was there! We always have such a great time when we get together, and that night was no exception! Taylor and Addie, my youngest sister, were up to their normal silly selves singing and dancing! Mom made chicken tacos in the crockpot, which is easily one of our favorite meals, and we definitely ate way too much! My mom got a Luminess Air makeup system and she let me try it, it’s fantastic!! Hopefully I will get one for my birthday at the end of the month! *hint hint*

Living in Memphis you might think we would be used to the extremely bi-polar weather, we aren’t! Saturday we were wearing shorts and t-shirts and we woke up Monday to snow and ice!! It was nice because Jamiee was off work and we got to spend the day together! Our dogs loved playing outside in the snow. It was our Shih Tzu, Toby’s first time playing in the snow and I almost couldn’t get him to come inside!

Overall, even with the “Snowpocalypse”, it was a great week! It’s already March and it has been a wonderful start to the year. We can’t wait to see what this month and the rest of the year have to offer us and what new adventures we can get into! Thanks for joining us on this crazy ride we call life! <3
